Recently, some commercial properties began to use 12 volt, or low voltage systems, to try to provide the desired lighting effect. This proved to save money and energy consumption, but many times the low voltage fixtures were not powerful enough to light more than three stories effectively.

We have also completely embraced energy-efficient commercial grade fixtures. As a point of comparison, a 150 watt ceramic metal halide (cmh) will provide a similar look as a typical 400 watt mh.
